Do you work for a living?

Yes, I'm a network security analyst and have been for the last decade. I got my CISSP in June of 2005 and my Security+ in January of 2006 (next on the list is my CCNA, and then my CEH). I've just left a network security company after working there for five years, and I'm looking for the next big thing.

You're calling yourself a professional writer now?

Yeah, in April 2003 I scored a contract from Apress to write a book about my field. We've since parted ways, but I'm still thinking about the book and intend to either finish it or publish parts of it as articles; I'm looking into contracting with DevX.

I'd also like to publish fiction. I finished two 50,000 word novels - one in 2001 and the other in 2004 - for NaNoWriMo, and I'd like to do more of that kind of writing as well.

I've recently self-published, through Lulu.com, a very short sampler of four short erotic stories; now that someone has bought a copy I think that counts as official. ;)
